Possibly more well-known for his time fronting the band Underground System, Peter Matson has now taken the time to drop his exciting electronic, dance-based EP Short Trips. ‘3AM To Sete’ is an uplifting yet relaxing, jazz-inflected tune which is filled with industrial percussion and warm basslines, like "something you might hear late-night in a South London nightclub". The effortless blending of genres is something hard for an artist to attain, but Matson’s blend of jazz, deep house and influence from his own guitar work/production as a member of Underground System has helped him pull off an impressive feat here. -Dan Peeke
